SASKATCHEWAN FAMILIES PAY THE PRICE FOR CARNEY’S EMPTY ILLUSIONS

Mark Carney came to power promising change for Canadian families. He said that he should be judged on the results he delivered.

One year later, and things have only gotten worse.

He promised a stronger economy, but the numbers tell a different story. Investment has fled south. Jobs have disappeared. Prices keep rising.

While the world faces higher oil and gas prices from conflict in the Middle East, Mark Carney’s Liberals keep blocking our own energy. Here in Regina-Qu’Appelle, that means higher costs at the pump for hard-working farmers, truckers, and families like yours.

Mark Carney’s Liberals sold voters nothing but a bunch of big illusions. Here are just a few of them:

ILLUSION

REALITY

Mark Carney promised to make Canada an energy superpower with both clean and conventional energy to secure our future.

All the Trudeau-era anti-development laws are still in place, and the industrial carbon tax continues to rise.

Mark Carney’s Liberals would build pipelines fast to get our energy to market.

They haven’t approved a single pipeline, and their Major Projects Office has started nothing.

Mark Carney’s Liberals can release oil from strategic reserves to help our allies abroad and ease shortages at home.

Canada is the only G7 nation that doesn’t have any strategic oil reserves. Carney’s minister had to change his story after the phony announcement.

Mark Carney’s Liberals scrapped the electric vehicle mandate to protect Canadian auto jobs.

They changed the name but kept the mandate. They now plan to waste billions in taxpayer money to subsidize American EVs while thousands of Canadian auto jobs have been lost.

Mark Carney promised to create one Canadian economy by removing internal trade barriers.

Wholesale trade declined sharply with zero real progress on interprovincial trade barriers.

Mark Carney is the economic genius who would grow our economy.

Canada is the only G7 country with a shrinking economy. Canada lost more than 100,000 full-time jobs in just one month, and food prices skyrocketed 7.3% year-over-year leading to Canada having the worst food inflation in the G7.

A year of Mark Carney has taught Saskatchewan families a hard lesson. Big promises may sound nice in Ottawa, but they do nothing to ease the daily struggles here at home.

Higher costs for fuel and food, stalled growth, and lost jobs tell the real story of a government that cannot keep its word.

Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives stand ready with real solutions that work for Saskatchewan. We will cut the red tape, create jobs by getting the government out of the way, end inflation by cutting Liberal deficits, and create the conditions for families to get ahead.

Only Conservatives are Always on Saskatchewan’s Side.
